Real Bride: Abi in the Sara Dress by Shikoba
Congratulations to Abi and Phil who’s wedding was a joyful, sun-soaked celebration set in the heart of the Welsh countryside. Relaxed, colourful and connected to nature. Surrounded by family, friends, and open skies, Abi wore the Sara dress by Shikoba, a design that felt perfectly in tune with both the setting and the spirit of the day.
Effortless Bridal Style in the Welsh Countryside
The Sara dress is defined by its clean lines, soft structure, and natural movement, a dress I designed for brides who want to feel both beautiful and completely at ease. Worn by Abi, it felt confident and wonderfully unfussy, allowing her to move freely and be fully present in every moment.
Abi chose our Sara dress from our stockist Rebel Rock. The Sara is a dress that complements it surroundings, its pretty design working with all the other details of the day. In the summer sun and the openness of the landscape, the simplicity of the silhouette fits perfectly the gorgeously laid-back and genuine moments of Abi and Phil’s day.
A Celebration Full of Colour, Creativity and Heart
Abi and Phil’s wedding was bursting with thoughtful, personal details. A pastel rainbow colour palette wove its way through the day, echoed in the confetti, styling, and joyful energy of the celebration.
Abi’s dried floral crown, created by Folky Dokey, added texture and warmth to her bridal look a perfect reflection of the natural, organic feel of the day. It was perfect paired with the delicate lace and details of the Sara dress. Nature-inspired flowers throughout and soft tones blended seamlessly into the landscape, creating a celebration that felt grounded, joyful, and entirely authentic.
Real Joy, Beautifully Captured
Walking back through a shower of confetti, I love how Abi and Phil are captured laughing, hand in hand, drinks raised, surrounded by the people they love most. It’s a moment of pure celebration, unposed, authentic and full of love.
Photographed so honestly by Amy Hewitt, the images reflect exactly what we love about seeing Shikoba dresses worn by real brides: movement, comfort, emotion, and individuality.
A Setting That Set the Tone
Held at Three Pools Permaculture Farm, the setting played a beautiful role in feel of the day. With its open fields, surrounding greenery, and sense of freedom, it offered the perfect backdrop for a wedding centred on connection, to nature, to friends, and to one another.
Why We Loved This Wedding
Abi and Phil’s day is a reminder that the most memorable weddings are those that feel true where the dress totally compliments the whole experience, where beauty is found in ease, joy, and connection.
The Sara dress was made for moments like these.
Much love to Abi and Phil and thanks to Amy Hewitt Photography
