Shikoba Bride wants you to feel 100% confident with your purchasing decision and your bohemian bridal gown (as well as on your big day!) so we have put together some frequently asked questions. FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
HOW DO I ORDER MY DRESS?
Simply choose your perfect Shikoba Bride dress in the online boutique, once you have confirmed your order and payment you will receive a form to fill in your measurements. You’ll note that we don’t ask you to select a size as we take the measurements you’ve provided and select the best size for you.
*Please Note: You do not need to have a PayPal account to pay with PayPal, they accept all major credit/debit cards*
You will then be contacted via email by one of our friendly team here to check your order details, confirm your sizing and we’ll get working on your dress!

HOW DO I TAKE MY MEASUREMENTS?

HOW DO I DECIDE WHAT SIZE TO ORDER?
Don’t worry about this as we ask for your measurements at the order stage and we advise which size in that particular design to choose to best fit you.
HOW DOES YOUR SIZING WORK?
Based in Britain we use standard UK sizing and all our designs are available in sizes 6-16. If you want a different size to these, please do get in touch as some styles can be made outside these sizes.
HOW FAR IN ADVANCE OF MY WEDDING SHOULD I ORDER MY DRESS?
If you love a dress we’d suggest you place your order as soon as you can, so we allocate the fabric to ensure availability, particularly our fabric runs for limited edition designs. As a minimum we’d suggest ordering your dress ideally with at least 9-7 months to go till the big day, to ensure it’s with you in plenty of time.
CAN YOU DO EXPRESS ORDERS?
The dress making/shipping process takes 4-6 months dependant on design, please get in touch to discuss your requirements to see whether we can assist if your timeframe is shorter.
DO YOU MAKE CUSTOMISED DESIGNS?
Although we don’t make custom bespoke one-off designs to order, many or our dresses offer a number of options to customise them.
If you wish to make a none standard customisation to a gown other than those listed, you can request this and of course, if we can help we will, this may incur additional costs dependant on the request. These costs will be quoted at the time.
Please note any non-standard requests that we can meet would result in the dress being nonrefundable, in the same way as if a gown is altered by your own seamstress.
WHAT IF I LOSE WEIGHT BEFORE THE WEDDING?
We think you are fabulous just the way you are, so does your partner.
We’d always recommend buying the size you are at the point of ordering as this can be altered by your seamstress to fit. However, if you think your size may change from when you place the order, speak to us so we can advise.
DO YOU DO ALTERATIONS?
We don’t do alterations but we recommend using a reputable seamstress near to you if you need to alter the dress.
DO YOU SUPPLY SAMPLE DRESSES TO TRY ON?
All of our sample dresses are used for product, editorial and magazine shoots and so we are unable to send these out to try on.
DO YOU HAVE STOCKISTS?
You can only purchase Shikoba Bride designs directly from us the designers online through our website. We sell exclusively online, directly to our brides who we love working with.
WHERE IS SHIKOBA BRIDE?
We are based in South Manchester UK, where all the dresses are designed, quality of production overseen, finished, carefully packed and shipped direct to our brides. All of our materials are of the highest quality, sourcing fabrics from British manufacturers and suppliers as well as fabrics from all over the world to meet our passion to create fashion forward, stunning designs.
DO YOU DELIVER WORLDWIDE?
Yes we do, we want our beautiful designs to be part of special days worldwide! It’s why we chose to sell exclusively online, directly to our brides.
HOW MUCH IS SHIPPING?
We offer free worldwide delivery on all orders and use an express shipping supplier so you can track your order. If you require additional parcel protection to the full value of your order you can upgrade your shipping at checkout.
WHAT ABOUT TAXES AND CUSTOMS?
Each countries import duties and taxes vary, payable locally by yourself and you may need to pay duty to receive your delivery if you are outside the UK. These costs are not included in the price of the dress and are payable by yourself directly to your customs department. You can find out an estimated cost from your Customs Department. We strongly advise any bride outside the UK to find out what import taxes and duties they may be charged so you can factor this into your purchase.
