sizing and alterations

HOW DO I KNOW WHICH SIZE TO ORDER?

We can help with this completely, our Stockists and studio experts just need your measurements. Bridal sizing is a little different to the high street and so once you have your measurements we will cross-reference with our size charts and recommend the best size for you.

If you are not near a Stockist, who will take your measurements for you, we have provided a video below to help you take your own measurements correctly, as this is super important.

Our dresses length comes as standard (46 inches waist to floor), this can easily be shorted by your seamstress. If you think you may require extra length (normally brides 5’8 and above with heels) please do email us prior to ordering.

What do you need to know when I order?
When you place your order with our stockist, they will take your measurement and all the details we need to know to make your dress. They will ask your wedding date to double check we can meet your timescales too. Rush orders are available on request.
Will I need alterations?
Yes, our dresses are made to order from a size chart closest to your measurements so more than likely you will wish to tweak your dress with your local seamstress. Everybody is unique and we want you to love every inch of your dress. Our stockist will help you chose the correct size from your measurements and when your dress is ready, they will book you in or recommend their seamstress to tailor the dress to you.

order to delivery

When you choose a Shikoba Bride dress with one of our stockists, they place the order with us and we commence making your dress to order.  We design all the dresses ourselves, we spend a lot of time creating our patterns, choosing the most unusual fabrics and we will check your order before it is lovingly packaged and dispatched to you at your stockists. For fittings, they will contact you directly to make your appointment to come into boutique to collect and fit your dress, or for you to take to your chosen seamstress for alterations.
