A few months ago Fi and I bundled ourselves into Fi’s Mini, loaded up with dresses, accessories (a bit of chocolate) and my menagerie of props to hit the road for this amazing boho elopement shoot with Jo Bradbury Photography.
The weather was shocking, we were really concerned if we’d be able to shoot much. It was proper misty wet rain….we finally arrived, slightly late thanks to my appalling map reading, just as the rain had lifted to reveal the most breathtaking boho surrounds of the Copper mines.
I’ve hiked up this road to the copper mines on many occasion as a tourist but had no idea about the ranch style cottage hiding behind the tree line. It’s the cosiest place on earth with a barn of complete treasures.
Jo had assembled an amazing team of creatives and we set to work. India and Tom our gorgeous real life couple looked amazing. We took our India, Gigi and Zara dresses, three totally different boho looks but each that suited the setting perfectly.
In between shooting and dress changes, while Aimee and Helen worked their magic on India, we spoke about hair styles, weddings, having lots of kids, life the universe and beyond, drinking tea and generally not feeling a bit like work.
Becky from Picking Posies created a boho beauty of a bouquet with orange, burnt ombre, a dash of white and rich browns, picked out by a little mauve. All of her blooms are seasonal and grown locally so are just a complete dream! Tied with orange silk ribbons from Bertie and Fred.
The images Jo captured on the day were breathtaking and just epitomise the ethos we have. We want our dresses to go on adventures, get the dress on, wear it, love it, be yourself…don’t worry about the hem getting dirty.
Please check out all the amazing folks from the day below, they were amazing to work with.
love Becca and Fi x
