Zahra shikoba wedding dress in cappadocia turkey

Zahra – Delicate Embroidered Silk Chiffon

I fell in love with the fabric for the Zahra design as soon as I found it, it’s a gorgeous, delicate super soft embroidered silk chiffon. I just knew I had to design a gown that was romantic and flowed like the fabric. The sleeves are fitted to the elbow and then split to a wide floating dramatic sleeve.

A keyhole back detail, delicate lace trim on the waist and a billowing train to swish in the breeze! I then paired the Zahra overlay with our slip dresses in either an ivory or sienna lining. Or if you are going really non traditional, it looks amazing worn sheer with just a bodysuit under.

Bespoke Alterations

As with all my designs, if you love the dress you can try them at our stockists. You might love Zahra exactly as it is, but if you want any changes made, like change the sleeve style, I’m always happy to do this too.

Zahra on Location

I was really excited when Pierra asked if she could take the Zahra gown on location to a shoot in Cappadocia in Turkey. I studied Geology as as an undergraduate and so I am OBSESSED with landscapes like this. The valleys of this fairy like backdrop looks like it’s from another place and time!

The surroundings perfectly compliment the feel of the Zahra gown and I would absolutely love to go there myself. I am always super proud when an idea that started in my head comes to fruition. To then gets to go on and feature in peoples wedding days and travel the world on adventures like this one, is so amazing.
